April 4, 2007 SOA Systems was invited to deliver the keynote address at the Information Technology Conference 2007 in Ottawa, in addition to an interactive session focused on service-orientation and service design techniques. The event will take place at the Ottawa Congress Centre and will be attended by over 400 registrants. Below are the official abstracts: Keynote: Goals and Benefits of SOA and Service Oriented Computing The increased adoption rate of SOA has placed an unprecedented emphasis on enterprise unification, design standardization, and the acceptance of a new organizational model in support of anticipated governance requirements. This presentation establishes some common concepts associated with the adoption of service-oriented computing in general and then provides insight into the “how and why” behind some of the larger SOA initiatives that are currently on-going. Throughout the talk, Mr. Erl will share adoption and trend-related metrics and statistics collected first-hand from a range of SOA projects.
