SOA books Used as Input for OASIS BCM Committee Contribution
The OASIS Business-Centric Metholodogy Technical Committee has a membership represented by the US Department of Defence, the Mitre Corporation, and others. The committee is dedicated to"defining methods to acquire interoperable e-business information systems within communities of interest." In May, 2006 it ratified version 1.0 of BCM as a standard, and it is now focusing on extending this standard to encompass SOA and service-orientation.
As part of this process, Mindforce Technologies Inc. has submitted a methodology specification that incorporates several fundamental methodology concepts and all service-orientation principles defined in the book "Service-Oriented Architecture: Concepts, Technology" written by SOA Systems founder Thomas Erl. SOA Systems looks forward to sharing additional research that may be useful to the committee and has joined as an oberver-level member.
SOA Systems is a long-time member of OASIS and participates on several technical committees. To learn more about OASIS, visit the OASIS Web site. To learn more about "Service-Oriented Architecture: Concepts, Technology" visit www.soabooks.com.
