Two-Day Public SOA Workshop in Vancouver
SOA Systems and the University of British Columbia are pleased to present a public two-day SOA workshop. The previous two-day workshop held in September, 2006 sold out, so early registration is recommended for this event.
The workshop will be delivered by Thomas Erl, the world's top-selling SOA author and Series Editor of the Prentice Hall Service-Oriented Computing Series.
Below is the official event description:
Service-Oriented Architecture (SOA) is at the centre of a new generation computing platform positioned to revolutionize the way we build, govern and evolve automation solutions. SOA introduces new concepts, technology, and a new approach to building solution logic as highly composable and reusable IT assets in the form of services. The benefit potential of SOA is deemed so high that its successful adoption is expected to create a new breed of "agile organization."
Join Thomas Erl, an internationally recognized SOA expert and the world's top-selling SOA author, for this extraordinary and timely two-day exploration of SOA and the service-oriented computing platform. Thomas will explain the benefits and challenges of adopting SOA and share insights, recommendations and best practices for planning and carrying out SOA projects. Thomas will be making reference to his past two SOA books, and will also share information from his upcoming third SOA book, planned for release in mid-2007.
