Keynote at IT Conference 2007 in Ottawa

SOA Systems was invited to deliver the keynote address at the Information Technology Conference 2007 in Ottawa, in addition to an interactive session focused on service-orientation and service design techniques. The event will take place at the Ottawa Congress Centre and will be attended by over 400 registrants.

Keynote:
Goals and Benefits of SOA and Service Oriented Computing

The increased adoption rate of SOA has placed an unprecedented emphasis on enterprise unification, design standardization, and the acceptance of a new organizational model in support of anticipated governance requirements. This presentation establishes some common concepts associated with the adoption of service-oriented computing in general and then provides insight into the “how and why” behind some of the larger SOA initiatives that are currently on-going. Throughout the talk, Mr. Erl will share adoption and trend-related metrics and statistics collected first-hand from a range of SOA projects.

An Introduction to Service-Orientation Principles

Pre-release galley of his upcoming book “SOA: Principles of Service Design” Introducing each of the eight design principles providing application techniques and highlighting their strategic significance.
